Benidorm is a city and Spanish municipality of the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community.
It is located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, in the Marina Baja region, which is its densest and most populated municipality with a density of 1792 inhabitants / km² and 67,558 inhabitants in 2018 according to the INE.4 It is the tourist capital of the Valencian Community.
Known as the «New York of the Mediterranean», Benidorm is the city with the most skyscrapers in Spain, the city with the most skyscrapers per inhabitant in the world8 and the city with the most skyscrapers per square meter in the world after New York.
It is one of the most important and well-known tourist destinations in Spain and throughout the Mediterranean thanks to its beaches and nightlife, reaching 400,000 inhabitants in summer.
Not surprisingly, Benidorm is the third city with the most hotel beds in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona.
